Whether you have the occasional half hour or more free time, we have several opportunities for volunteers. Expand your professional network, build your portfolio, and form great new friendships as an STC Carolina volunteer:
- Serve on the Admin Council
The Administrative Council Leadership consists of the President, Treasurer, Secretary, Immediate Past President, and the Directors of Competitions, Communications, Membership, Outreach, and Programs.
- Serve on a Committee
We are always looking for members who can help organize meetings, find speakers, and help plan competitions. Click here to find available committee positions.
- Write for the Blog
The Blog is the voice of our chapter. Feel free to write about your experiences in the profession. What motivates you? What frustrates you? Did you attend a conference or lecture lately? Write about it and publish it on our blog. Learn more here.
- Present or Train
Are you an expert or something or want to share your work with others? Consider presenting at a monthly program, lunch ‘n’ learn, or career day. We are also looking for tools experts to train on methodologies and tools. Events can be in-person or virtual.
- Become a Judge
Participate in competitions by becoming a judge.
- Become a Mentor
Help train the next generation of technical communicators and give back to the profession. Check out our mentor page for more information. We do Spring and Fall mentoring cohorts.
