The following flyers present information on several spotlight positions that are needed on the council. To serve on the council, you must be a member of the Society for Technical Communication and the Carolina chapter. These commitments are year-long, and you get to work with a team of highly motivated, impactful, and fun people to serve our members.
The following tabs present information on several shorter-term positions that are needed to help out the council. Although encouraged, you do not need to be a member of the Society for Technical Communication or the Carolina chapter. You’ll work with one of the council members to figure out the schedule and access to any tools that you need. These positions are great ways to figure out an interest area, get a portfolio piece, or just have some fun as part of the tech comm community!
Work with the Competitions committee to collect and recognize the best technical communication products in the Carolinas area.

Volunteer as a Coordinator or Mentor for the Mentorship program, which happens twice per year.

Serve on the Outreach committee to help spread the word about the Carolina chapter and get feedback on what services our members and partners find most valuable for the chapter to put on.
- Summer or Winter, Membership Drive Coordinator

- Any time throughout year, Business and Sponsorship Coordinator
Work on our Programs and Events to help promote, register, and follow up with attendees.
- 1 Event Coordinator per event, multiple events throughout the year, can volunteer once or for as many as you like. Free tickets!
Help develop award-winning Content for our Communications team.

- Social Media campaigns.
