2012 Ernie Mazzatenta Scholarship Call for ApplicationsApplications are now being accepted for the Ernie Mazzatenta Scholarship. This is a biennial scholarship that is awarded by the South Carolina Foothills Community of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit and promise of future contribution to the field of technical communication.
EligibilityCurrently enrolled Clemson University undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a degree or concentration in some aspect of technical communication
Application RequirementsTo be considered for the scholarship, applications must include:
- Transcript (an unofficial transcript is acceptable)
- Personal statement (approximately one or two typed pages) including a description of the applicant’s educational and professional plans and how those professional plans are related to the field of technical communication
- 2 samples of technical documents such as reports, proposals, handbooks, newsletters, brochures, manuals, sets of instructions, or Web pages (provide URL) to which the applicant has made significant contributions, with an explanation of any software used to prepare the documents and the role the applicant had in their preparation
- 2 letters of recommendation from former or current professors and/or employers

The recipient will be notified by May 1, 2012. Awards will be distributed through the Clemson University Financial Aid Office and go towards the 2012-2013 school year.
